Use Witness only with material you own or are authorised to inspect and alter. Preserve originals whenever evidence, audit, provenance, or chain of custody may matter.

Results and cleaning

Findings are technical signals, not verdicts about authorship, authenticity, legality, or compliance. A clean result does not prove that a file has no watermark. Cleaning can change material and remove provenance or other evidence.
